Thursday Thoughts

  • I see the president is doing something he is really good at... campaigning.
  • I see he is still blaming others for the economy.
  • The Decatur Wendy's sign is up... mouth watering...
  • Some survey of top chefs asked where they ate when they ate fast food, they said Wendy's.
  • I am guessing all the Decatur road work is apart of the 'spend your children's future' government campaign.
  • At this point in the game don't they have enough proof that government spending lots (I am mean LOTS) of money will not recover a faltering economy???
  • How much proof are they going to need?
  • They will never admit it. That's what democrats are all about, spending.
  • Well, the mower died again. I don't think I will fix it this time. RIP.
  • The people who mow my yard cut it high so I have to call them out more often. Forget that!
  • I am going to interview the marketing person for Hangman's haunted house in Fort Worth on Friday night for the show.

Monday Thoughts

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! Fall is finally here! I bet next week will be a scorcher.
  • Time to close up the pool.
  • My new raid array fouled up and had to rebuild one of the drives. I don't know why.
  • Is Garden Ridge having financial issues? That store is just not what it used to be.
  • I have put insulation on the bedroom windows to keep out the light so the wife can sleep (she works nights).
  • Getting irritated at my job (at coworkers).

Wednesday Thoughts

  • The mower's new starter wouldn't work so I put the old one back on and got it to run!
  • There is some sort of compression problem so in order to start the mower I have to remove the sparkplug and drain all that gas first.
  • I-35 from downtown Fort Worth to 820 (North) is a nightmare. When are they going to expand it?
  • Remeber that it took 10 years to finish the downtown mixmaster?
  • I better not hold my breath.Am I the only one annoyed that teens do NOTHING except text and they do it CONSTANTLY?!
  • The wife got her Kindle in... I'll give it a month then it will be mine!! Mwahahahah!

Monday Thoughts

  • Democrats are playing the 'tea party' kook card and playing it HARD.
  • I moved out of my storage place this weekend. That saves 160 bucks a month.
  • I have a lot of crap. I need to have a big garage sale.
  • Last week was the 'week from hell' (as far as IT goes). It was bad.
  • I am getting the itch for more MASH. Even though what happened to me last time.
  • We had 3 showings at the house this weekend. Haven't heard a peep. I wish I knew what was turning people off of it. It's more than $20,000 less than it's value!
  • I noticed the Halloween sections at stores are VERY small this year. Yeah economy!

Tuesday Thoughts

  • It's been a very busy week.
  • Bought a new Sorento last night. Buying a new car is a such a wait-fest.
  • Why do people on crotch rockets break the law 98% of the time?
  • Why are those even legal since EVERYONE who rides them breaks the law so much.
  • I mean, really... have you ever seen one on the highway that WASN'T break a law?
  • We are going to expand our public access show to an hour.
  • We reduced the price on our house to the lowest it can go without losing money.
  • We have not had one showing in two weeks.
  • I think I am going to have to 'promote' myself to help desk supervisor since they need more supervision. It's not so much a promotion as a task that no one wants.

Thursday Thoughts

  • Back to work.
  • Was supposed to be back Wednesday but floods from the hurricane TOTALED my wife's car.
  • Spent Tuesday (not) filming sketches at Trinity park in Fort Worth.
  • Just got a couple of minutes of stuff out there since it was raining all day (and everyone who was supposed to help besides Chris FLAKED OUT).
  • Do you remember Laser Discs? I used to have them. It was THE way to get the highest quality picture back in the days of VHS.
  • I spent WAY TOO MUCH money on those.
  • I spent 75.00 on Jurassic Park when it came out. What an experience though!
  • I spent almost 300.00 on the Star Wars Difinitive Collection set.
  • IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY.
  • I watched it again (in 2008) and the Laser Disc quality looked like VHS (compared to DVD). It was very sad. But back in the day that was super high definition!
  • Do you remember Video Disc? If you do, you are too old.

Friday Thoughts

  • NPR had this segment on the Tea Party and their adoption of the book The Spider and the Starfish. The commentator kept asking questions of the author that basically asked how can this Tea Party come apart and is the Tea Party run by a few people as a political ruse. When he didn't get the liberal answers he wanted his very last line was a flat out jab. "Apparently neither spiders or starfish have much in the way of brains".
  • NPR is such a liberal shit hole.
  • Too bad we pay for it with our tax money. That's the only reason I don't bag on WBAP or Fox, we aren't having to pay for their bias.
  • That's the reason I just can't bring myself to give to either them or channel 13.
  • Pitty because I love watching British Comedies.
  • It takes me 1 hour to get home (or work).
  • I am about to install my old tape deck back into the truck so I can listen to all the audio books I bought at library sales over the last three years.
  • That's a great way to spend my drive time.
  • I still have (and remember) the first MP3 I downloaded ever.
