Wednesday Thoughts

  • I've seen 2 accidents involving 18-wheelers this week alone (Decatur and Fort Worth). In both, at least one of the 18-wheelers was on it's side.
  • Ever heard of Kraftwerk? It was a 70's electronic band who influenced EVERY BIT of music you are hearing nowadays. Check out 2 of my favorite songs of theirs. Here and Here. Here is another one.
  • Next month the creative meetings for the 2011 Hangman's House of Horrors. I intend on going and giving some kick-ass ideas.
  • I found the medical term for the one thing I fear most in life. It's called Physic Horror. That is the few moments you experience when you KNOW you are about to (or are) dying.

Monday Thoughts

  • Why does Subway feel the need to make you feel bad about what you eat in order to drum up business?
  • People who shop in Goodwill need to touch everything. I guess that's why I shop there.
  • They knocked down the Wedgewood bowl in Fort Worth. What a sad day. It's been closed for nearly 20 years though. The last time I went there was with my step father's brother back in the 80's.
  • It was another weekend full of bad, nasty, and slow drivers.
  • I ate at the new Taco Casa in Decatur last week. It was nearly 8 bucks for 4 tacos and a tea. I remember when my mom used to send me to the local Taco Casa in Fort Worth where I got tacos 4 for a dollar!

Monday Thoughts

  • Why do all the Frank Kent billboards in Fort Worth say nothing about cars? All they ever do is show and tell you how great the Frank Kent family is. "Look hot we are. And were' richer than you too."
  • The worst of the worst white trash finally abandoned their mobile home in our general neighboorhood. I am very happy about that.
  • I got my Beetle back from the shop... and immediatley ran over a poor bunny with it. :(
  • I saw a Bloom County comic collection in the Half Price clearance section. Does anyone like that strip? I equate it with Calvin and Hobbes... SNOOOOZZZEEE
  • The buyers flaked out (after holding our house hostage for 2 months)!
  • I have a REAL bad taste in my mouth when it comes to the whole realestate thing now.

Monday Thoughts

  • Visited LoneStar Park Friday night. I was surprised to find kids there. With all the booze and betting...
  • We picked up library cards from Benbrook then went to the Central Fort Worth Library to check out books. We had to get cards from Benbrook to keep from paying FW to get books.
  • Its been a few months since I have gotten to go to the FW library. There was a bunch of new audio books! Yay!
  • I upgraded my PC at work and ran fiber from it straight to the core switch. Super fast!!!
  • Ate at Outback on Saturday. Oh man I love those steaks!

Wednesday Thoughts

  • There is still snow is spots here and there. A reminder of the madness.
  • I figured out that I like winter weather ONLY if it a.) doesn't inconvenience me and b.) isn't windy.
  • I have been dissed by the 'big time' blogger in Decatur. I think I shall remove him from my blog list.
  • I have been asking for permission to film somewhere in Decatur in front of a business...
  • This town has been freaking silent. It hates me.
  • I hope we can sell our house in April and move back into Fort Worth.
  • I love West Fort Worth.
  • I am proof reading Chris' book. Oh man... I think one person will like it... Chris.
  • That picture is Chris hanging out at Trinity Park with the Mark Twain sculpture.
  • Some sites utilize way to many exclimation marks. Like this one.!!!
  • I watched Galaxy Quest on Bluray last night. That's a fun movie.
  • I found a website that lets you stream your webcam (or whatever). I am thinking Chris and I will try this out as a weekly meeting. Yeah, it's free.
  • I missed the Westminster Dog Show this year. I try to watch a little of it but we got rid of our Dish Network. Oh well.
  • Maybe others don't care for the Westminster like I don't care for the Olympics. They think it's pointless (like I think the Olympics are). See, I can consider everyone's opinions.

Wednesday Thoughts

  • Why are there always lines at the WalMart gas pumps? It's like a 4 star restaurant... I know it ain't that good.
  • Finally picked up a Transformers mega-scale Skywarp from WalMart (to adorn my desk). It was 60 bucks! I was just waiting until it went on clearance. It was half price!
  • The weather has been soooo miserable lately. The yard is just mush when you walk on it.
  • I actually got my Ni America water bill this month! Miracles do happen.
  • I transferred my fish back into the big tank after a rigorous cleaning. I think they are happier. They are at least less stressed since their temp tank was in the cat room.
  • I want to sell my house. Please refer people to it! If you have them tell the realtor you referred them I will give you 3 thousand bucks. I mean it! Here's the link.
  • I started watching my Watchmen Motion Comic on BluRay last night. Many I love that!
  • I am going to write a review about it soon.
  • On my other blog I am supposed to be having help from my cohort in crime...
  • He has not been helping.
  • This is disappointing.

Monday Thoughts

  • I caught yet another possum under the house this weekend.
  • I went back under to the 'fix' and found it 'unfixed' so I fixed it again (I hope for good!).
  • I said some other nonsense thing to the Walmart door lady again this weekend, now it just makes me feel bad.
  • Stopped going to the gym for a week and couple of days, now I am back after a little 'food debauchery'.
  • Strangely I felt physically bad several of my 'no diet' days. I wonder if the crap food had anything to do with it?
  • Have I mentioned Fox News in the morning is a BIG FREAK SHOW. Yeah, I think I did.
  • Oh, did you hear someone else blamed Bush for the economy this weekend?
  • We have moved all the cats into my library room to keep the rest of the house from smelling. I know they hate me now.
  • Oh yeah, we got rid of Hitler House Cat. She now has a loving new family!
  • Went to Walmart in Saginaw this weekend... what economic trouble?
  • Here is some fun you can have and it's free: Go to Walmart on the 1st of the month (when it lands on a Friday). WHAT A FREAK SHOW!!! I kid you NOT!
  • Do you remember the store Best?
  • Do you remember G&H Greenstamps? I remember they used to have a store off Seminary in South Fort Worth. I never remember seeing people there.
  • Hey, I got a great new video up... Watch it here.
  • Germany blocked my 'Professor of Dirt Halloween Special'. Yes, the whole country! Someone filed a complaint about my use of Louis Armstrong's 'It's a Wonderful World' in the video so my German fans can't see it anymore. Here it is in case you are wondering.

Tuesday Thoughts

  • For all the crap people on the Internet talk about McDonald's, it hasn't appeared to hurt their business.
  • I think the majority of 'commenters' on the Internet are tweens. Just read comments on any YouTube video and you will see what I mean.
  • Snow tomorrow... YEAH RIGHT!
  • None of my friends seem to be warming to my idea of owing a movie theater... oh well another great idea down the tubes.
  • I have few friends and those friends are very important to me.
  • Unfortunately I'm not that important to them.
  • I realize how sad that statement is but it's true.
  • I wish I had one or two SUPER best friends.
  • I have been reading a bit about West Fort Worth (my favorite place in all of existence) and how great the 7th Street/Camp Bowie Museum area new construction is. I REALLY miss old West Fort Worth. That stuff was the identity of the city, now it's just some generic stuff.
  • Anyone have a movie theater I could buy in the area?
  • Utilizing my banks 'skip a car payment' for January. Its a break I really really need.
  • My work PC's IE is jacked so I am using Firefox until I have a solution.
  • All the add-ons for Firefox make it fun.
  • Google's Chrome... no thanks. I'd like to keep SOME THINGS private.
  • I do however LOVE Google earth.

Mid Day Thoughts

  • Wataburger puts crack in their meat (just like McDonalds puts crack in their coke).
  • Back to working out... sheesh.
  • Ok, life goal thing I talked about eariler. Might possibly maybe being interested in owning a movie theater.
  • I wonder why there were never forsale signs on the GC movie theater in the Toys R Us parking lot at Ridgmar. It's still sitting there empty after all those years.
  • The last movie I saw there was Blade Runner Director's cut.
  • These black dudes just kept talk and talking during the whole movie.
  • I loved going to the 7th street theater off Camp Bowie. I can't believe they knocked it down. It was sooooo retro.
  • The last movie I saw there was The Little Mermaid.
  • The last move that played there was The Haunting (see pic).
  • I am thinking a Tavern Movie Theater is going to be the only way a movie theater will work in the future. Beer = Money.
  • I'd like to rent out theater screens for amateur made movies.
  • Decatur Wallyworld was not THAT packed on Black Friday. Not like the Burleson one.

Farwell Stripling & Cox

The Stripling & Cox building (headquarters) was located on Camp Bowie... was. The company folded up many months back and they finally decided to clear the old building. It's been there well before I was born and it's kind of sad to see it go.

Chris' car's black eye

See the nice windshield too... well the hood came loose and flipped up the next morning while he was driving and destroyed the windshield...
