Thursday Thoughts

  • I was watching Harry Potter and the Sorcer's Stone. You can visibly see Harry age from scene. It's distracting.
  • The next 2 weeks is make for break for my wife and her future career.
  • Taco Casa in Decatur is almost done. There is a hiring sign out there now.
  • I bet Taco Bell is shaking in their toastadas.
  • Interested in music lyrics and how important they are? Read this (up to 5 parts now) blog stream from my friends.
  • I am composing a blog about illegal aliens and the whole Arizona thing for the other blog, so check it out starting Monday.
  • The title says it all: What part of 'illegal' don't you understand. The balance between law and compassion.
  • It's that time of the year when we have to do all that annoying insurance at work thing.
  • Today is the 3rd paycheck of the month... no insurance take out! Woohoo!
  • I think one of the most endearing phrases to come from the Internet is the phrase made for photos of cats and dogs where they are saying: 'Do not want'. It's so funny.
  • My VW is still in the shop. I am almost afraid to call and ask about it because I am not sure I will have the cash on hand to pay for the repairs.
  • I was home the other day when there was this huge boom and the house shook. I thought something happened to the house (the the carport collapsed or something).
  • Read later that it was believed to be a sonic boom of a jet. At first they thought it was a gas well explosion. Probably a secret government project.
  • The pool is still to cold to get in. I am guessing it won't be till the end of May that I can comfortably get in.

Monday Thoughts

  • I have decided that CVS is better than Walgreens.
  • Saturday I had a game day with Chris and James (and Candice).
  • The board game Rockettville should be called Futrama: the board game.
  • Only 1 house showing this weekend. Things are really slowing down...
  • Why do cats 'ick ick ick' when they see birds?
  • The wife has less than half a month of school left! Yoohoo!
  • I am going to be signing up for school after she gets a job. Probably AIU or Phoenix.

Thursday Thoughts

  • Ate at Joe's Pizza and Pasta in Decatur today. It's great food but I don't feel they will be around in another year.
  • Still a little sick. I hope this clears up soon.
  • It's Thursday that mean Chris will be over for our weekly meeting.
  • We will be shooting more of episode 1 tonight (of season 3).
  • I found one of my lost childhood treasures online (after years of searching). Here it is. My imagination had made it much better than it actually is.
  • Cleaned out the fish tank again last night. What a chore. They are dirty fish.
  • Watched Saw 6 last night too. The story is getting so convoluted its hard to keep up with.
  • Still never heard from the Wise County Messenger. They interviewed us for the community focus several months back... yet another letdown.

Monday Thoughts

  • After a couple of weeks dry spell it rained. This time I was ok with the rain.
  • I have been slowly cleaning up little areas aound the house as I have free time (under cabinets etc).
  • Still no buyers. The 8,000 tax rebate ends at the end of the month. If someone is going to buy it, it better be before then.
  • The pool is full to capacity with all the rain. It's time to pump some of it out.
  • I probably won't be able to swim until mid May (when it will be warm enough).
  • I need a wet but no wind day for burning.
  • Still mildly sick. Will this crud ever go away!?
  • I am editing Season 3 episode 1 now. I really need to finish season 2!

Monday Thoughts

  • I have been sicker than a dog for the last 5 days. I hope I am beyond the halfway point.
  • IMO weddings are such a waste of money. I like them enough, they just cost soo much.
  • Have you ever thought how much of your actual pay goes to taxes? I mean ALL taxes (not just the ones that you see on your pay stub) like sales tax, auto registration, auto inspection, gasoline tax (you know).
  • I think that if you tallied it all up you would see you pay about 50% or more of your pay to the government.
  • Some studies suggest it's more like 65%.
  • It's all hidden so it's less noticeable and the people don't revolt.
  • If they took it all out at once I think you would find many many more people voting.
  • I watched Clue this weekend. I love that movie.

Thursday Thoughts

  • How can the government, in this time of great economic woe (jobless claims rose more than expected) turn around and create massive debt (the 'health bill') and ignore the suffering of the nation. Will they get away with it during the election???
  • Another note about Ben Franklin: He came up with the term on all our currency: e pluribus unum. He also designed the first US currency.
  • I am sick but I don't know who gave it to me. Everyone around me is sick at the moment.
  • I had to work on the pipes under the house for the last couple of days. What a drag!
  • This weekend is going to suck big time. I just want it over.
  • Am I the only one who isn't very interested in 3D movies. I think it would be too distracting to have to wear glasses.
  • I will however see Tron Legacy in 3D.

Monday Thoughts

  • People who eat salad are RUDE. Case in point: the wife and I went to Soupersalad this weekend and saw whiny person after whiny person. They need some protein.
  • People who eat fancy food are RUDE. Sunday we went to Cheesecake Factory. Whiny people EVERYWHERE. Complain complain complain.
  • We truly live an a nation of selfish and spoiled people.
  • Some interesting fact about Benjamin Franklin: He invented the first battery, the matching grant, the lighting rod, and bifocals. Dude was smart.... he never went to college.
  • Walked the trinity yesterday it was nicer later in the day so it was very pleasant.
