Whatever your opinion... there is still hope for this nation

So Trump won.
Hurray for the little guy!

Why do I say that? I'll tell you why...

This election still proves that the PEOPLE'S voice still works in this nation. Even when media/entertainment/global voices go after someone and prop the person they like up it all still comes down to the individuals in this nation.

Like Trump or hate Trump, the structure that the founding father's built is still works like a charm.

I will give Trump the benefit of the doubt as he starts out... Just like I gave Obama after he won (even though I thought Obama didn't have enough experience and I didn't vote for him).

I didn't like the way he ran this nation but I didn't act like a baby and say things like 'he's not my president'.

Monday Thoughts

  • There is this story about 10,000 Chinese student performing kungfu all at the same time as one of China's programs to 'Cultural Heritrage'. If people display cultural heritage of the United States they are labeled racist or right wing nuts.
  • So, the so called president, in an election year move decides that his one chance (the Hispanic vote) to win might vote for him if he once again raped the Constitution. He has basically gone around Congress (again) and decided to let illegals stay in the country. This unilateral making of his own laws IS A HUGE RED FLAG. This guy is acting like a dictator. You don't go around our lawmakers... that's not the way America works. This is how you destroy a government... which is what I honestly believe this guy wants to do. Honestly, I do. I think he has contempt for the US and will do everything in his power to deconstruct this Republic.
  • Oh did I mention he said it had 'nothing' to do with the election. I will eat shit and die if it didn't.
  • I have been watching an old VHS of a PBS show I recorded years ago. During the earlier days of 'reality television' BBC did some short series where people live like those who lived long ago. This one is called Surviving the Iron Age. It's funny because since it was during those early days it's not so over produced and phony like shows today. The wheels come off right away and it turns into one disaster after another showing us that we are wayyyyyy to pampered by our modern living. lol.
"Hi, thanks to Obama everyone will be living like primitives soon... that's his plan."

Wednesday Thoughts

  • Today is Star Wars Day. Happy Star Wars Day!
  • There are 2 phrases/words that I have picked up from programmers over they years I have worked in IT... one is 'fat fingering' (that's where you mistype a password) and the other is calling the '*' character a splat (not an asterisk).
  • I got some furniture that was handed down to me in place yesterday and turned a china cabinet into a nifty book case. It looks great!
  • I have signed up for the HITECH Program at Midland University in the Government mandated 'Hospital Meaningful Use' training. It's a bunch of new Governemnt regs in the electronic transfer of patient data across the US. And no, this was pre-Obama.The refund I will get for the education is Obama however.
  • I have one point about the whole: Obama gives the order to kill (rathern than capture) Osama. Where are all the demonstators? If this had happened under Bush's term there would be people screaming for him to be tried for murder (or in the least authorizing it). Where is the UN's war crimes tribunal? The man admitted he ordered the death of Osama...
  • I saw this Titan Toys in Ridgmar Mall this last weekend. That store is super crappy. It's like something from Trader's Village.

Wednesday Thoughts

  • Why is it that when ANYONE says or does ANYTHING that is contrary to the President he says they are playing politics? I guess that's the only excuse he has left.
  • I think Taco Casa's Taco Lites are far better then their regular tacos.
  • They released the President's birth certificate... FINALLY. I am wondering why it took so long. I am thinking it was to make the weirdos in the conservative party stand out as long as possible.
  • Nah, it probably just got lost in that stack of broken campaign promises he's got there in the White House.
  • Remember what I said about Donald Trump yesterday? Looks like I was right. He's useful for something at least, he got it done!

The wife's pride and joy...

Tuesday Thoughts

  • Ready for another day of tornados... bring them on!
  • I had some 'dry milk' last night. We prepared it the day before and let it sit in the fridge to get cold. I was nervous but it tatstes just like regular milk. The wife says it has a bit of an aftertaste but I don't know... it would do in a pinch.
  • In a story about Donald Trump and his 'presidential aspirations' USA Today did a poll and only 38% polled thought Obama was born in the US. Once again, why not reveal it and shut the naysayers up.
  • I don't think Donald Trump has any intention of running for President. I think he is being devil's advocate and drawing attention to all these issues conservatives haven't had a voice about.

Monday Thoughts

  • Remember my last post when I talked about how much reporters love disasters? Have you been watching the Japan coverage? I think you see my point, don't you?
  • BBC reporters are just as bad (if not worse) as any US reporter as well.
  • Still waiting on the house work to be finished.
  • stuck at work until 8 friday night because some decided to change out a piece of important hardware on a Friday afternoon... who does that?
  • We went to Sam's Club this weekend... yikes! That place is where people go to mooch free samples of food. I doubt anyone was actually buying anything there.
  • There were also all these sales people bugging you... sheeh!
  • Note to self: go to Sams only uring the 7a-8a 'business only' hours in future, not on the weekends.

Outside the gas station in Rhome.

What's that coming out of her torso?!? Inside that gas station in Rhome.

Monday Thoughts

  • So, in the ObamaCare health bill... if you purchase more than $600 worth of bullion (gold, silver, etc) you have to fill out a 1099...................
  • In the the health care bill.......
  • This sort of sneakiness (which goes on all the time in Washington) is insidious.
  • I now have a Motorola Tundra cell phone, military grade plastic. Can handle this.
  • Chainsawed the 2 dead trees in the front yard this weekend. Looks so bare now.
  • Still no buyers. Or even lookers. This economy sucks royally.
  • According to the current government it's Bush's fault (even though he had a democrat congress).
  • So when the economy starts moving in the other direction, who's fault will that be?
  • Lemme guess...
  • So why do you go through all the trouble of a financial reform bill when 2 of the largest reasons for the disaster (FannieMae and FreddieMac) are totally left out of the reform?
  • Me and my coworker were just in that store (it's across the street from the hospital) last week and I noted that they were selling porn. Interesting.
  • Saturday was horrible. I got all the way into Fort Worth and forgot my wallet (after already ordering at McDonalds).
  • The walmart in Burleson TOTALLY changed inside. Everyone was walking around lost. It would have been funny if I weren't lost too.

Friday Thoughts

  • Doesn't the estate tax just seem obscene? You work all your life to acquire wealth and the government feels it has the right to take almost half of it. Fuck them!
  • The new Obama Health Care Stimulus Law is going to require that not only is your weight and height in your electronic medical record but your obesity rating (BMI) will be required as well...
  • That's so they can open the door to punishing fat people by taxing them or making them pay more for heath care in the future... MARK MY WORDS.
  • I want to see a blood bath at the polls this year... and I want to see all this crap repealed.
  • Got in the pool because it was hot yesterday. Expecting nice cool water... it like getting into a warm bath... yuck.
  • Have you tried the mini-funnel cakes at Jack in the Box? It's nice you don't have to wait for the stock show or state fair to have one now!
  • The house is still not sold. It's not even showing. Man this economy is crappy.

Friday Thoughts

  • I feel Obama might be the first president that isn't *for* America. He seems more interested in changing things that he and his party feel is right for them... not America.
  • If you are president you need to be 'all about America'.
  • Scared a poor little three foot snake while I mowing yesterday (with the push mower).
  • The riding mower is out of commission while I wait on a new starter.
  • That thing has had so many parts replaced I think it's officially a 'kit' mower.
  • I think 'sick' is the best Young Ones episode.
  • 5th Anniversary yesterday. Bought a ridiculously expensive edible bouquet.
  • I have read reports that Caucasians will possibly become the minority in 2011. Other reports say 2050. When ever that is... it will be VERY interesting to see what happens.
  • VERY INTERESTING.
  • Lebron James is going to sign with the Nicks, right? He is a heavy Obama supporter and Obama is all about wealth redistribution... If he goes to New York he will be able to give 12 million in extra state taxes out of his contract so the poor people can have more... he do it will right??? Wrong. If you remember my rant long ago I said that liberals are ALL MOUTH but when it comes time to actually put your money where you mouth is, they are phony. At least conservatives are honest about wealth making/keeping.
  • People are starting to claim that the 10% tan tax is racist... I never really thought about that... interesting. It is redistributing the wealth from white to lazy people (oops, poor people).
  • Do you ever try the links on the left? Try the English Russia one. I am always amazed when you see $400,000 cars sitting in Russia slums.

Wednesday Thoughts

  • Our hedgehog died last night. They don't live very long. She died at the ripe old age of 3.
  • There was a nasty 90+ MPH accident involving 4 teens just North of Decatur. I think 2 were decapitated and the other 2 are in hospital. They NEED to haul whats left of that car and put it right outside the high school for a month.
  • Tonight we are going to see Wicked in Dallas. 3 Rows back in the middle. We will be able to see up their noses!
  • Continuing on my murderous rampage of small animals (like the rabbit I killed a few weeks back) I killed a little frog with the weed eater yesterday. :(
  • Why are flies attracted to our president? I have seen 3 instance were files were an issue with him.
  • I finished watching TimeSlip (the 70's scifi British show). They just jumped the shark to end it. Seemed they didn't know how to end it.
  • Peter Gabriel is still my favorite musician.

Thursday Thoughts

  • If you own a truck = you will be forever bugged to help people move stuff.
  • Bought my wife tickets to see Phantom of the Opera in March at the Music Hall in Dallas. That drive is always such a crapper.
  • The seats are tiny at the Music Hall in Fair Park.

  • Have seen Phantom and Wicked there.
  • Not totally sure what the big deal about musicals is. I am trying however.
  • Got lost on the PC last night playing Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Yeah, it's old but it still rocks.
  • Looked up and it was almost midnight.
  • I'm really tired this morning.
  • State of the Union = not interested... have never been interested. We rarely have a president that is fantastic enough to pay attention to.
  • Walked out of training at work the other day. The trainer was not very good at all.

Tuesday Thoughts

  • Does anyone else remember using BBS' (bulletin board systems)??? I used to use the following one: The Blasted Trumpet 817-467-7103
  • Caught yet another (different) possum under the house... how many freakin' possums are living under there!?!
  • Well, Bill Gates jumped on the 'blame Bush' bandwagon. So what all you 'blamers' are telling me is that even after more than a year out of office his policies are still making our economy stink?
  • O.k. I'll buy that BUT are you then telling me that ALL THIS MONEY that the current administration has be dumping out there has done nothing (good or bad)???
  • I call B.S.
  • Ofcourse as soon as the economy picks up, it won't be Bush's fault... you know that, right?
  • So when the economy pickups up we will know FOR SURE just how long a previous president's policies last, right?
  • Then we can go back and look at Bill Clinton's 'after presidency' and see how things were.
  • You can't have your cake and EAT it too.
  • WASHINGTON... BE A MAN, ADMIT TO YOUR SHORTCOMINGS!!!!
  • You would be surprised how many people would honor you instead of smack talk you if you fessed up to your humanity.

Monday Thoughts

  • Long ago I switched from being excited about getting at Christmas to being excited about giving.
  • Can you believe this health care bill? They are simply passing junk so they can get a foothold so they can morph it to a nightmare later. It looks nothing like it was supposed to be originally.
  • I can't wait for it's outcome (the new taxes, etc). Then I can't wait for the elections!
  • Payback is a BITCH.
  • All this irritates me so much.
  • Also I was listening to NPR prattle on about their favorite subject Copenhagen this weekend. Man some 'international important people' are really pissed they aren't getting a ton of free money and fast. It all sounds like a load of crap to me.
  • No mention from the BBC during all this about the phony 'research' and how it has skewed all data it was used in... hum... My theory is is that it's a big money making scam.
  • What I don't understand is how the president can make any binding contracts without the consent of the American People. That sounds a little illegal to me.
  • I think a lot of our problems in this nation would be solved if you removed all everyone in congress and replaced them with randomly chosen college graduates (40+ years old) every other year. Once chosen and once you did your duty, you could never run for any other office ever.
  • THINK about that last point. Pretty smart.

Wednesday Thoughts

  • Obtaining an Evil Dead and Army of Darkness autographed movie poster today!
  • Fox News is really critical towards the current White House Administration. Now everyone might say they shouldn't be but if they weren't, who would be? Someone needs to be.
  • BTW in Obama's Oprah show the other night he blamed Bush again.
  • Just wait until things start turning around, I wonder if he will say it was Bush's doing?
  • House Democrats have dropped almost EVERYTHING they originally wanted with the health care bill. It's almost pointless now. But, Rahm Emanuel told them that job #1 was to pass SOMETHING.
  • It's all about what they can claim during election time, not what good they actually accomplish.
  • I forsee a change in power in the not too distant future.
  • Then the republicans can have their chance to screw it up.
  • Didn't see that comment coming, did you?!
  • The (somewhat feral) cat I keep saving from under the house has a 'Hitler-like' mark under it's nose. We call it Hitler House Cat. The pic in this post IS NOT that cat.

Oh my

Have you ever faked a book report? I did in 6th grade. I went before the class and made up a book report about a The Old Man and the Sea.

Oh, sorry anyway... the president made his Nobel Peace Prize speech and I watched a bit of it...

Oh man. Just put yourself in his place for a second. You get a letter stating that you won the peace prize and the cash that comes with it as long as you go make a speech when you accept it.
You decide to do it (cause you need the cash real bad).

What do you make a speech about?

Well, (you think) it's the Nobel Peace Prize... so I'll make a speech about peace.

That is EXACTLY what happened today.

I suspect that when someone won the Nobel Peace Prize for helping liberate an oppressed tribe in Africa, THEIR speech was about that... their experience in helping those people, right?

What if you don't know why you won the award? What would YOU talk about... peace of course!

This is what happened this morning.

Too funny.

Wednesday Thoughts

  • Ok, strike that 'snow - YEAH SURE' comment from yesterday.
  • Global Warming a fake? Companies spending trillions on 'green technology' for no real reason?! Just a few people 'fixing' the system for their own gain!? Is ANYONE really surprised? Will it stop politicians from finding new ways to tax us... nope.
  • Watched Evil Dead with no audio commentary last night. That's the 2nd time I have done that and about the 5th time I watched it total. The audio commentary is so great!
  • Reading Bill Warren's Evil Dead Companion. A thoroughly entertaining book (gave me the idea about owning my own theater.
  • Most enjoyable movie 'group' experience I ever had = watching Gladiator with a packed audience.
  • I watched Yahoo!'s 2009 recap video. It occurs to me that our world is merely a series of sound bytes. Our culture is so shallow and self indulgent it makes me want to puke. Watch it yourself and make up your own mind. It's all about making everyone feel included (our society, not the video).
  • You know the economy WILL NEVER be Obama's fault. His supporters will forever blame Bush just like Clinton supporters blamed Bush when the economy crapped out at the first of his first term (they seemed to have failed to notice the economy crapped out 6 months before Clinton left office).
  • When he is booted from office, he supporters will blame his failure to do ANYTHING successfully on his opposition (not Obama himself).
  • Pass the buck... The American Way.

Is it wrong to be afraid?

Is it wrong to be afraid of the current administration? I have been getting increasingly paranoid about what our government is turning into. Now, I am not talking about reading our brains, or tracking our every move (and other crazy things) but worried about the total control this administration is pushing for when it comes to our everyday lives.

Let's take the cap and trade law coming (oh yes, it will pass, and oh no, there is no factual proof to back up their global warming BS claims but you will be paying for it anyway). It is a law that punishes you for living. There is no real reason for it.

Taxes are there to fund things (unemployment, benefits, national infrastructure, etc) while cap and trade is taxing you for NOTHING. It's a punishment tax. Obama himself said he hopes the tax will make people use less. That's it! It's purpose is to punish us ALL to force us to buy less, use less, etc... Why aren't people in the streets rioting about this?

I was thinking about taxes we currently pay. It's estimates that the typical middle class American pays somewhere around 50% of his/her pay in TAXES!!

50%!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do they get away with this you ask... I'll tell you. The same way they get away with everything... little by little. Do you think America would revolt if all workers got 50% of their paycheck taken out right on top? Of course. But, take out payroll taxes here, sales tax over there, property tax over that way... and it builds up. 50% people! 50% of your pay goes to the government (who manages it's badly and just wants MORE). I always knew I was fiscally Conservative for some reason and this just proves my stance. So I make 50k a year, after all is said and done I am making 25k a year (a retail job's value). Imagine what poor people actually make in a year after taxes... it is a scary thought.

Now what I find amusing is that the liberals love these taxes. They tax and tax and tax because they feel they need this money to take care of the poor. All they are doing is keeping the poor down! What do the poor then do? They quit working, quit owning homes, quit owning vehicles... aka STOP PAYING TAXES. The burden is then moved onto the people who are actually doing the right thing and paying taxes... the middle class. Why get a job when you end up paying all those taxes and loosing all those benefits like free food and near free rent, free heath care, etc?

I now have sympathy for those who tax dodge.

All this comes back to the current administration who sits there paving the way to take even more of my money and give it to people who will NEVER bother getting off the gravy train they are on. It scares me.

What can I do to avoid what they are trying to do to me? I am not going to live 'less' for Obama's fucking benefit. It's my life, my one shot and I don't give a shit about feeling good about living with less so others can have more.

So what can I do?

1.) Take it in the ass and just pay.

2.) Tax dodge (aka do work and get paid under the table).

3.) Move to another country (an insane idea that doesn't sound so insane anymore).

4.) Quit my job and get on assistance so I don't have to pay taxes.

I wonder what the taxes were when the colonies decided they had enough and revolted? I am 90% sure they weren't what they are today.
