- I've been out of town for the last week visitin' my brother in Colorado.
- Went snowmobiling on Christmas day. Done it before. I think once was enough.
- I finally saw Tron... in 3D and Imax.

- I am starting up a business again selling Anime models. Maybe this time it will work.
- I will NOT be opening up a shop however.
- Tuesday James, Chris, and Loren came over for a game day. We played The New Dungeon, Carcassone, and Skull And Sword. Before the others got there James and I played Carcassone Castle.
- I was on call for work last week... hence no posts cause I was too exhausted with lack of sleep. Oh well, it paid the mortgage for next month.
- I hit a dear heading into work Saturday night (I was heading into work, not the dear).
- I tagged it's rear so I don't know if I killed it right away or if it died later or is just limping.
- I feel bad about it.
- I have been organizing my PC files. I think I will 'downgrade' to XP. I have too many programs that don't work right on Windows 7.
- I remember having 'upgrade issues' when I had to move to Windows 95 from Windows 3.11.
- At some point I will 'just need to let go'.
- I swear EVERYONE has to be out shopping all day everyday during the month of December.
- We are heading out to Colorado to visit family for Christmas on Wednesday. 12 Hours of fun driving... NOT.

- My job is being extra stingy this year with Christmas bonuses. Really stingy! From 350+ dollars last year to... wait for it... 50 dollars this year. 35 dollars after tax... sheesh.
- I STILL can't complain. One year I got 7 dollars from Kmart.
- I get so envious when I hear of companies giving their employees 1,000 or more bucks for a Christmas bonus.
- Time is approaching for 2011 yearly goals to be set. I think I have some big ones coming this year.
- I ordered Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 on Bluray for myself for Christmas. There is something about them that I really like.
- We are having a Unitedway drawing for a 47" TV today. After my tough lesson learned several years back... I will not be spending any more than 1 dollar on this drawing.
- Is it just me or do young guys who wear hats like this just come across as automatic douche bags?
- I finally got to watch Iron Man 2 last night. Man that movie is so full of holes. Here is a big one... Black Widow (the Shield Agent) gets into the bad guy's PC and 'reboots' Rhodes suit... why couldn't she have simply turned off all the drones while she was at it???
- What's nicer than getting an award for your production business??? Getting one in the mail yesterday that had your name on it.
- I am trying out Ubuntu Linux on an extra PC at my desk at work. It runs so much smoother that Windows... too bad it doesn't support everything Windows does.
- I better keep quiet, it administration hears about a free OS, I will be installing it on all 900 PCs here...
- Chris came over last week (for the first time in for forever) and we discussed goals and such. It's that time again... have to stay on top of them this time.

- I just finished Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke and just started their 2nd movie. I haven't seen so many VW Beetles on film in my life.

- Went to Durant to the Choctaw casino and didn't see what the big deal was. I lost my money just as fast as I do at WinStar. However... they do have 'let it ride' on the gaming tables. That's cool.
- I got my MAME arcade machine back up and running yesterday.
- I had a burger from the Wendy's in Decatur (finally). The meat on the hamburger wasn't as good as other Wendy's. I guess the employees need a little more time to figure out the best way to cook them. I noticed they weren't as squished as other Wendy's. Maybe that's the trick.
- Went to the in-laws this weekend.
- Visited Longhorn Caverns for the 2nd time. You know what, once you go to a particular cavern once, you have done it. No reason to do it again.
- Ate breakfast at Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls. I have never seen what the big deal is with it. Its good and all but...
- I'm on call this week, it's been 3 years... not looking forward to it.
- I'm off tomorrow... it's my bday! Spending the day alone at home.
- Work is getting very stressful (too much of it).
- I am about 60% done fixing up the shed in the back. It is looking good.
- Some investment company offered my mom some BIG BUCK$ for her mineral rights.
- Not worth it in the long run.

- The price of silver has been climbing like mad! I wish I had bought more last year when I was buying it.
- I have been working in my shed, organizing and getting it back into shape after the move. I can actually walk in there now.
- I watched the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen last night. It was based on an Alan Moore comic book. I bet that was good.
- For all the hoop-la about Wendy's in Decatur I have yet to actually go there.
- Daylight savings time ends Sunday. I hate it! Hate it! Hate it! Hate it!

- Went into Jack in the Box (while trying to move) and just as I am about to open my mouth to order the power goes out... typical.
- Saturday evening it cleared up and I was presented with a certificate of recognition at Hangman's House of Horrors for charity work.
- Totally missed the chance to get Rebecca Miller to sign my Cyberpunk CCG card of her (it is actually about her).
- She is very short in person.
- Filmed the 'Thrill the World' event.
- I am in a VERY bad mood today.
- I detest the 'lettuce heads' that come and go at the gym where I work.
- Too bad I have to use that entrance to come to work.
- What is the point of getting an egg white omlet if you are just going to load it up with other junk?

- So I was sitting at my desk on the phone on a trouble call when I felt my office shake and shimmy. I thought it was just someone moving heavy equipment upstairs in the surgery area (it happens) but apparently it was an Earthquake in Oklahoma!
- I am tired of all the bad driving I have been experiencing lately. It's mainly city folk.
- I shall say once more... this last week was the WORST for bad drivers. People need to chill the F out.
- Work is getting stressful for no good reason.
- We had a garage sale on Saturday. Brought in about 300.00. Didn't sell nearly as much as I had hoped for.
- Packed the rest up for some other time.
- I could probably make 2x or 3x more if I spent the time to put it on Ebay.
- Chris wants us to focus on selling stuff on Ebay...
- Yuck. It takes soooooooo much time for so little profit to do that.
- Plus Ebay triple dips on you. You pay to list the item, you pay when it sells, and you pay a fee on Paypal payment (which is almost the only way people can pay anymore).
- This week has been 'the drivers from hell' week. People have been behaving so badly recently.
- Do you remember that really old Goofy cartoon where he changes into an evil thug when he gets behind the wheel? Those were some great cartoons. Here it is!
- I am having a garage sale on Saturday. I dread 'early bird' shoppers. Wish I could just put it all outside during then night.
- I have discovered my wife has just as much junk as I do... just in boxes, not spread throughout the house.

- The imaging center at work flooded out last night, I know how they feel.
- The insurance company paid off the car (the current value) but the bank has yet to remove the 4,500 balance (cause i have GAP insurance). I hope they don't try to get out of it or I have to make an October payment (since I have a payment due on the new car too).
- I didn't even notice a Family Dollar go in where Weatherford college was in Decatur. I never shop there so it was no big thing.
- The Candlewood suites is about 50% done. It's off Eagle drive behind the hospital. I can't imagine them doing ANY business (unless it's hospital business).
- There are so many hotels in Decatur as it is I don't see how any of them stay in business.
- I see the president is doing something he is really good at... campaigning.
- I see he is still blaming others for the economy.

- Some survey of top chefs asked where they ate when they ate fast food, they said Wendy's.
- I am guessing all the Decatur road work is apart of the 'spend your children's future' government campaign.

- The mower's new starter wouldn't work so I put the old one back on and got it to run!

- Just got a couple of minutes of stuff out there since it was raining all day (and everyone who was supposed to help besides Chris FLAKED OUT).
- Do you remember Laser Discs? I used to have them. It was THE way to get the highest quality picture back in the days of VHS.
- I spent WAY TOO MUCH money on those.
- I spent 75.00 on Jurassic Park when it came out. What an experience though!
- I spent almost 300.00 on the Star Wars Difinitive Collection set.
- IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY.
- I watched it again (in 2008) and the Laser Disc quality looked like VHS (compared to DVD). It was very sad. But back in the day that was super high definition!
- Do you remember Video Disc? If you do, you are too old.
- NPR had this segment on the Tea Party and their adoption of the book The Spider and the Starfish. The commentator kept asking questions of the author that basically asked how can this Tea Party come apart and is the Tea Party run by a few people as a political ruse. When he didn't get the liberal answers he wanted his very last line was a flat out jab. "Apparently neither spiders or starfish have much in the way of brains".

- When you look at all the old Star Wars figures (from the 70's - 80's) you will notice that they (many times) don't look anything like their counterparts on screen. It looks like all they were concerned about is the head, everything else was up to the sculptor.
- I am 9+ hours behind on sleep for the week. I can feel it creeping up on me. Time for a weekend four hour nap and a sleep in on Sunday.

- So, the government decided to STOP the airlines from stranding passengers inside airplanes for hours by making them pay fines (when there is some runway delay)... What happens now? Instead of incurring all these fines, the airlines just cancel the flights right before the fines incur! Thanks government!

- The crappy hotel next to 287 (I think its a Super 8) finally emptied out their pool. It was like a black swamp. It gets that way every year.
- I had a horrible accident this weekend. I knocked over my external hard drive and the hard drive broke. It had EVERYTHING I save on it! I am having to send it away to have the data recovered.

- I emailed local weather lady Rebecca Miller about a Cyberpunk 2020 collectible card game Card called 'Rebbeca Miller'. The character on the card is a reporter that bears a striking resemblance to the real Rebecca Miller. The card game is several years old and I asked her if she knew about it. She replied and said she didn't recall but couldn't be for certain.

- We were supposed to have snow yesterday but it hit South of here. That makes me happy.

- I missed the Westminster Dog Show this year. I try to watch a little of it but we got rid of our Dish Network. Oh well.
- Maybe others don't care for the Westminster like I don't care for the Olympics. They think it's pointless (like I think the Olympics are). See, I can consider everyone's opinions.
- I don't ever remember snow this deep.
- Apparently it has never been this deep.
- The Global Warming nuts say the blizzards are because of global warming.
- They will change their facts no matter what the situation to keep 'global warming' alive.

- I have the opinion that if you don't have something crowding your schedule you waste your free time.
- If you are busy all the time, you get extra stuff done because your free time is precious.
- I have been doing a lot of writing lately but it seems harder and harder to come up with new ideas.
- Saw the Olympics on the TV... don't care.
- Who actually does care, IMO only those involved with them.
- Blew 130 bucks on dinner last night... oh the things we do for Valentines...
- Out on Thursday and Friday from work, my truck got stuck in the mud at the house.
- Had to have my boss come over and help me get it out.
- My bumper is slightly skew-wiff now.
- I did get a LOT of editing done on my show this weekend. I can thank the snow for something!

- Why are there always lines at the WalMart gas pumps? It's like a 4 star restaurant... I know it ain't that good.
- Finally picked up a Transformers mega-scale Skywarp from WalMart (to adorn my desk). It was 60 bucks! I was just waiting until it went on clearance. It was half price!
- The weather has been soooo miserable lately. The yard is just mush when you walk on it.
- I actually got my Ni America water bill this month! Miracles do happen.
- I transferred my fish back into the big tank after a rigorous cleaning. I think they are happier. They are at least less stressed since their temp tank was in the cat room.
- I want to sell my house. Please refer people to it! If you have them tell the realtor you referred them I will give you 3 thousand bucks. I mean it! Here's the link.
- I started watching my Watchmen Motion Comic on BluRay last night. Many I love that!

- Stayed the night at WinStar (or should I say LoseStar) again. Nothing new to report, my luck still stinks.
- I think I should decide that I will not go gambling ANYWHERE where it takes me more than 10 minutes to reach the location. I think it will save me lots of money.
- I had a poker party for coworkers on Saturday. Its very embarrassing to have them drive through New Fairview to get to my house... Did I mention I live there?
- There was a strange sight Saturday at the 114 West turn off of 287. There was an accident but apparently it involved a couple of large vehicles so by the time I got there they were sanding the muddy road to get traction for the mega-tow truck and they had a big dumpster with people picking up all sorts of trash on the road. I'm sure there's an interesting story there.
- Anyway I was heading to Giant Burger when I saw that mess. They were VERY nice there. I am guessing they are 'economy-proofing' themselves by pleasing customers.
- They have always been nice, they were just EXTRA nice this time.
- Their burgers are Giant, just like it says.
- Watched bits of the Superbowl while strolling the casino, not too interested.
- I did notice that the stadium they were in was very bland. I can't wait to see what happens when it is in Arlington next year. I'm sure Jerry will pull out ALL the stops.
- Everyone was going on and on about how Louisiana needed this because of Katrina BLA BLA BLA. So, you are telling me this win will mean all those abandoned, run down neighborhoods are going to get fixed because some grown men threw a ball around?
- Hype.
- I just think winning a Superbowl = good news for memorabilia sellers in the area + good news for local economies where the game is held (for about 2 weeks). That's ALL.

- Can you tell I'm not into sports. I am in a VERY SMALL minority but I am sticking to my guns. I think professional sports is a waste of time.
- I think college sports is a tragedy. If they spent the money on academics how many cures could they have found by now? How many decent presidents would there be?
- Yes yes I realize sports brings money into a college, but still, they focus on it too much.
- I think the reason I am more conservative and want less government is because of this: What would happen if the government had some sort of collapse (budgetary, or whatever)? Well the more we depend on federal government the worse the impact on the public if it failed. Is my logic flawed there? Isn't the same view about not buying too many of one particular stock the same... don't keep all your eggs in one basket???
- Here is a story about a town that began to print it's own money. Is this a trend towards a more local economy? Huuuurrrrmmm.
- New Fairview needs to do this and call them Redneck Greenbacks.

- I have been butting heads with everyone at work latley. Penny pinching can cause real tension. Just buy it! I say. You got to spend money to make it.
- There was a new image released from Tron 2 today. I nearly wet myself.
- I am having trouble finding a local auto mechanic that works on Super Beetles. I need to get mine fixed up but I don't want to drive it half way across the Metroplex.
- On the radio they call it the 'Metro Area' now, not the Metroplex. That's so trendy.
- Makes me think of slums.
- My wife swears that the Decatur Jack in the Box switched to smaller tacos.
- I went this week and didn't notice it. I think they might have 'tried' a smaller one.
- I think they tried scrambled eggs on their supreme croissant to (for a while).
- I am thinking they keep trying new stuff to save money but it fails so they go back.
- I was all ready to write a complaint letter too...
- I call their tacos 'gut rot tacos'. Man those things give you heartburn. They are made with some sort of 'meat paste'. Nothing at all like a real taco, but I can't help myself!
- Watched the Matrix on Blu-ray last night. Man that's an enjoyable movie. Why o why didn't just stop there!?
- Had to reload my home PC because it was full of the 'virusus'.
- I have gotten really good at doing that and I can have one reloaded in no time flat.
- Some one in the office said we should get rid of ancillary systems and another person didn't quite hear them and asked what they said and I said: 'they said they wanted to get rid of Fancy Larry.' Everyone cracked up... including myself.
- I popped in Heroes of Might and Magic 3 the other day (see previous post) and I am still playing it.
- My wife says it looks so primitive.

- Filed our taxes and we are getting a huge refund this year. We REALLY needed it!
- I used to pay 200.00 to an accountant. I now pay H&R block online 50.00. No brainer.
- I am selling my MASH series (now that I done watching it again) on Ebay and my psyche is punishing me by giving me MASH dreams every night.
- There was no MASH episode with midgets, right? Or how about full frontal nudity? Man I have issues!

- Bought my wife tickets to see Phantom of the Opera in March at the Music Hall in Dallas. That drive is always such a crapper.

- Well, Bill Gates jumped on the 'blame Bush' bandwagon. So what all you 'blamers' are telling me is that even after more than a year out of office his policies are still making our economy stink?
- O.k. I'll buy that BUT are you then telling me that ALL THIS MONEY that the current administration has be dumping out there has done nothing (good or bad)???
